Welcome to UNC Charlotte Catholic Campus Ministry! We’re a vibrant community of students growing in Faith, rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church, and dedicated to serving others. Whether Catholic, exploring the Faith, or seeking meaningful community, you’re more than welcome to join us!


What We Do


Wednesday Night Dinners


Every Wednesday night we gather for dinner then have a guest speaker, Adoration or a fun social activity. These nights become the heart of our community where friendships are formed, faith is strengthened, and students encounter Christ in the Eucharist.


Community

Located beside St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, CCM provides a space where students can freely live out their Catholic faith, ask questions, and grow in understanding of the Church without fear or judgment. It’s a home away from home where students are known, loved, and encouraged to be joyful witnesses of Jesus Christ.


Service

All Christians are called to live out the Gospel through acts of service towards their neighbors. Students at CCM fulfill this by volunteering on campus, within parish ministries and in the surrounding community.

College is an important season of discernment for your children. CCM offers an authentic Catholic environment, access to the Sacraments and spiritual mentorship that fosters their growth into the men and women God is calling them to be. CCM strives to walk alongside students as they grow academically, socially, and spiritually forming not only successful graduates, but faithful disciples.

Welcome from Fr. Joseph Yellico


I welcome back all students, returning and freshmen, to another academic year. Hopefully, you had a great summer and enough rest to carry on with the hectic academic schedules and load. I remind everyone the fact that the knowledge of God is the beginning of all wisdom and the crowning success of all our endeavors.


CCM activities begin immediately with the start of classes. This year’s theme and our mission is “Liturgy and Sacraments.” It is about prayer and spiritual life lived in communion with God. 


We meet every Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. with alternate events ranging from spiritual, social, and educational, to community service opportunities. 


The CCM Center is located on the grounds of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, at 1400 Suther Road, Charlotte, NC 28213. We will also have events on campus and off campus. 


Holy Mass is offered every Sunday at 5 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas.  Students who wish can take up any of the liturgical ministries at Mass such as the Ushers, Altar Servers, and Lectors.


Every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. dinner  is provided at the CCM Center by some loving families from St. Thomas Aquinas. You don’t want to miss these opportunities and great Christian community.
