The above video, while from a solid conservative group, is not produced to promote Catholic teaching on the issue from the moral point of view, but rather in conjuction with it. This is important, because taken as a standalone video, it could lead those who watch it to assume that the reasons why premarital sex and contraception are wrong are not having to do so much with our relationship with God as with relationships as a societal construct. This is especially true from about the 4:18 mark.
The video says: "Before contraception, sex before marriage took place during the search for a mate-someone to marry. Sex didn't necessarily mean marriage, but serious commitment was commonly a requirement for sex."
This might lead Catholic dating couples to justify these sinful behaviours as long as they can claim that unlike others, they are at least pursuing a serious commitment or even marriage, and that is a dangerous, and false justification. Please watch this video, which has many great aspects to it, and also check out the others, for a more wholistic, solid, Catholic approach to the issue.
