Setpember 22nd, 2013

Dear Parishioners,

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that which I noted in a previous bulletin, that we intend to employ our parish website as a primary means of communicating with our many parishioners.  For example, several people have inquired about the building project’s progress.  In each case I referred them to the website.  There is a tab labeled “Building Campaign” and an option to select “Progress.”  This will keep everyone posted in real time as to where we are in the process.

I would also like to thank our many catechists who have committed themselves this year to our religious education program.  With over five hundred children and youth, the effort is large but nonetheless rewarding.

Finally, some of you may have noticed people asking for money in our parking lot after Sunday Masses.  These people are professionals, so to speak.  Rest assured they are not cases of authentic need.  Cases of genuine need usually present themselves privately and with great reluctance.  After speaking with them this past weekend, it became perfectly clear that their efforts are fraudulent.  Please pray for their conversion, but do not give them money.  I assure you it does them more harm then good.  If you see them on our property, please notify one of the clergy.
