September 29th, 2013

Dear Parish family,
I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that our last Fatima procession for this year will be October 13 at 7:30. This will commemorate the anniversary of the great miracle of our Lady of Fatima that took place on that same day in 1917.  Everyone is welcome to participate. There will be a lite reception to follow.

On that same day the Holy Father is going to renew the consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He is having the statue of Our Lady brought from Fatima to Rome, and before which he will renew this consecration. Pope Francis has chosen October 13th because it is the date of the last apparition or Our Lady to the children at Fatima. On that day in 1917, she appeared to them as Our Lady of the Rosary.  So, let us join the Holy Father in praying to Our Lady of the Rosary on October 13th of this year.

Let us pray that heaven will pour forth graces of chastity, purity, and modesty in great abundance upon our whole world, and that more and more people will begin to know the caress of Christ's mercy upon their sin.
