Dear Parishioners,

I hope you have taken the opportunity to visit our newly designed website. We have been working hard to make it a hub of current information and interesting content. To this end, I would also like to remind you of the twitter feed box on the home page. For those of you who are unfamiliar with twitter, it is simply another way to send a message to those who choose to listen. All that is ever announced are articles, about the faith or related issues.  In the message is the name/topic of the article and a link that when clicked brings you directly to the article online. I hope you take the time and see for yourself.

This time of year is exciting to all our scholars.  I would like to welcome them back to school. As witnesses to the importance of ongoing education, perhaps we can all be inspired to set a goal dedicating oneself to learning more about our Catholic faith this year. We have several efforts underway that may assist in this regard, such as our monthly catechetical series and scripture study groups with a few more opportunities on the horizon. I will keep you posted.  Furthermore, I will work with Fr. Kauth and Fr. Riehl to put together a recommended reading list for our website.

Finally, as you already know the Holy Father has asked for the faithful around the world to pray for peace in the increasingly tense region of Syria.  To assist you in so doing we have provided a prayer at the entrance of the church. Please take one as we join our prayers to his.

Fr. Winslow
