Adult Education Opportunities

At St. Thomas Aquinas we strive to provide many opportunities for Adults to learn more about the faith and grow in deeper Relationship with Jesus Christ and his Church.

Thursdays at 6:30pm

RCIA is a great opportunity for those already Catholic to learn more about their faith. RCIA is open to all parishioners as an enriching adult catechesis opportunity each week. And, your presence in the class will give you the opportunity to encourage and support those who are taking steps to join the Catholic Church. Please join us!

Kingdom of Happiness Bible Study

Join us this winter and experience the new dynamic Bible Study – Kingdom of Happiness: Living the Beatitudes in Everyday Life. This 8-part Parish program unveils Jesus’ plan for happiness in the Beatitudes.  You will learn how the Beatitudes are the path to true happiness charted by Christ himself.  You will discover the exposed “anti-Beatitudes” for what they are: the kingdom of man’s false promises of happiness that sadly, only lead to misery.  In this
program, you will also be inspired by a renewed r esolve to live the Beatitudes through video profiles of real-life people living the Beatitudes in their everyday life. Featuring teaching videos by Fr. Jeffrey Kirby, Kingdom of Happiness will not only inform you about the Beatitudes, it will show you the way to living them and achieving true happiness.

Tuesdays beginning January 23  from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday beginning January 24 from 10:00 a.m. – noon

Understanding The Mass

All are invited to participate in an Adult Religious Education class on the insightful book Understanding the Mystery of the Mass by Fr. Matthew Buettner.  The class will be facilitated by parishioner Michael Coyle, who holds a theology degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville and has been teaching religious education for 36 years.  

Come and discover a greater appreciation for the words and actions of the Sacred Liturgy for a more active participation in and effective witness to the mystery of Christ’s redemptive work!  Join the weekly discussion on six Thursday evenings at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in meeting room C of the parish center, from September 7 through October 12, from 7p.m. to 8:30p.m.  Registration is required for this class by August 15, with a payment of $13 for the purchase of the book.  Registration can be handled at the parish office during business hours; checks should be made payable to St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
