About Our Parish

Capuchin Franciscan Friars

The Capuchin Franciscans are one of the largest religious orders in the Catholic Church today, with about 11,000 Capuchin friars living and working in small towns and big cities across the United States and around the world.

Inspired by the life of St. Francis of Assisi, the Capuchin Franciscans serve on all continents and eighty-one nations throughout the world. The more than 1000 Capuchin friars living in North America preach God’s word, direct retreats, serve the sick in hospitals and nursing homes, lead parish communities, staff dining rooms for the poor and shelters for the homeless and serve as missionaries in foreign lands.

The friars who serve at St. Thomas Aquinas came to the parish in 1995 and are members of the Province of the Sacred Stigmata of St. Francis. More information on the Capuchins can be found at www.capuchinfriars.org
