Middle School Youth Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to provide an environment for middle school aged youth to gather to encounter the person of Jesus Christ, grow in faith, and develop life-long friendships with peers who share their faith. Q. How often does the MSYG meet? A. Our Middle School Youth gather on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30pm in the Family Life Center Gym.
Q. In what types of activities does the youth group participate? A. The activities vary by group and time of year. Some of our Activities: Operation Service (these include: Caroling at Local Nursing Homes, Serving Dinner for the Women’s Shelter, Making Sandwiches for Urban Ministries, Helping at Church-Wide festivities, etc…), Athletic Nights, Eucharistic Adoration, Underground Church, and much more. We also have at least 2 Lock-Ins during the school year; our most recent was a night of Mystery.
Each year we participate in the Diocesan X-Treme Faith Day for Middle Schoolers. Our summers include some regular activities such as: Service Work, Totus Tuus (a week-long catechetical summer camp), and Vacation Bible School. |
