The St. Thomas Young at Heart Group is planning a bus trip to Virginia Beach on April 30th through May 3rd. We open an invitation to the parish for interested people to join us. Sons, Fathers, Husbands, Brothers, Men! – Join us for the 2nd Annual Catholic Men’s Conference, Being a True Catholic Man. The conference will be on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at St. Matthew Catholic Church from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  Mass will be celebrated by Most Reverend Bishop Peter J. Jugis, and a dynamic line-up of speakers are scheduled, including Jesse Romero, nationally renown speaker, evangelist, kick boxer, and former police officer.   Fr. James Farfaglia, author of Man to Man, and Fr. Glenn Sudano of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal will speak as well.

All high school youth are invited to join us on our 1st Annual Summer Mission Trip! We will be traveling to Pittsburgh, PA, July 15th-21st, for a Catholic Heart Work Camp. Our YAH meeting will be on Saturday, February 11th, and the theme will be Senior Prom. It will be a catered meeting with the cost of $10 per person. Let's relive the good ole days with sparkles (or no sparkles) and enjoy the evening with music from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. The Special Events Committee would like to invite you to join our ministry. We have a lot of fun working together on large events such as the Multicultural Festival, Parish Picnic, Tajci Concert, Dr. Scott Hahn’s Day of Reflection, and many smaller ones where we are asked to assist other ministries. We meet once a month on the second Tuesday of the month from 7:00pm–8:00pm. The giving of your talents and your dedication to hard work will not go unrewarded! All meetings and events at the parish -- including table space in the narthex at weekend Masses -- must be scheduled through the parish office.  As a first step, please check the on-line calendar to see if the room, date, and time that you need are available.  Fill out and submit a request form. 

If you are scheduling a meeting (either one-time or repeating) or need the narthex, use the Meeting Room and Narthex Request.  If you are requesting Aquinas Hall or another area for a large event, use the Event Request. 

Please e-mail the completed form to Dina Wilson, fax to 704-549-1614, or drop off in the parish office.  All requests are reviewed by the Pastor.  Typically, we will respond to your request within 5 business days, and your event is not confirmed until you receive notification from the office.
