The St. Thomas Young at Heart Group is planning a bus trip to Virginia Beach on April 30th through May 3rd. We open an invitation to the parish for interested people to join us. The Missionary Image of Our Lady Guadalupe will visit our parish and be present at all Masses on March 24th and 25th. We will celebrate with a special prayer service on Sunday, March 25 at 2:00 pm. Our parish has agreed to supply snacks for the families visiting their loved one’s at Levine Dickson Hospice house for the month of March and April. This program is in addition to the full meals that we provide during the month of October. This will be an excellent chance to do something extra for Lent. They have requested the following items: Granola/Cereal bars Potato chips Cookie packs Juice boxes Fun size candy bars Instant grits Crackers, particularly peanut butter Cheese-its/Goldfish Pretzels, etc. Snack size applesauce/fruit cups/fruit snacks and peanuts Unfrozen microwaveable meals, such as soups, Chef Boyardee/pasta bowls Plastic spoons and disposable bowls Note: They are requesting we provide individual size packets and to avoid gum, hard candy or microwaveable popcorn. Please bring your donated items to church on February 26th, March 4th, and March 11th. There will be blue bins designated for Hospice Snacks in the Narthex. My name is Drew Fishbaugh and I am a sophomore at Charlotte Catholic High School. I am involved in a ministry called Invisible Children. We are in the process of having a book drive, and the proceeds will go to help children in war torn Uganda. Any used or new books, such as textbooks, novels, and children’s books, will be accepted. Please clean out your bookshelves and support a great cause! There will be a bin in the Narthex after all Masses for three weeks starting next weekend, February 25th/26th. |
